5 Projects Supported Through the Premier’s Innovation Speaker Series

The Department of Innovation and Advanced Learning is pleased to announce the top 5 proposals in the first round of the Premier’s Innovation Speaker Series.

Through this Island Prosperity Strategy initiative, world experts in areas related to our priority sectors will come to the Prince Edward Island to present public lectures.

The following 5 proposals will receive funding in this round of the Premier’s Speaker Series. Below is a list of the successful projects (in random order).

• PEI Institute of Agrologists ~ Title: Championing Agriculture.
• UPEI’s School of Business, Centre for Biotechnology Management Research ~ Title: Venture Capital Companies and Investment Strategy in Bioscience and Technology Areas, from a Canadian and US perspective.
• Three Oaks Innovation Inc. ~ Title: Role of the Open Source in Entrepreneurship and Innovations.
• UPEI’s School of Business, Centre for Biotechnology Management Research ~ Title: Modern Approaches to Development in the Biopharmaceutical Industry.
• Three Oaks Innovation Inc. ~ Title: Licensing University Technology- A Perspective from a Large Corporation.
